Inserts, closed fireplaces and wood fireplaces, and all other wood heating appliances, need light, but regular maintenance: - ash removal,
- cleaning of the glass,
- cleaning inside the hood,
- cleaning of the hot air grids,
- regular checking of the appliance.
This maintenance is easy and it is not necessary to call in a professional.
Smoke ducts must be swept at least twice annually. This operation generally costs approximately 45 euros. We recommend that you ask to see a sweeping certificate. Chemical sweeping cannot replace the mechanical sweeping of the duct of your wood fireplace.
