The town of Desvres has been known for its production of faience and porcelain since 1764! The reputation of the town needs no reminder. The town has held the label "Ville et métier d'art" ("Art town and trade") since 1997. With the loss of the leading manufacturers from early on in the century, which had established the reputation of Desvres, young independent craftsmen took over the business.

Régnier chimney fireplaces are produced in the pure old fashioned way:

- The quality of the hand-painted decorations is the product of many years of experience and training of expert craftsmen. All products are unique and may even be decorated on demand.

- Cast iron fireplaces, with double combustion systems, are finished off with faience decoration with a thickness of 6 - 8 cm. The accumulation of heat allows the fireplace to operate by convection and radiation.

- Power may reach 17kW using wood as an energy, and a volume of up to 500m3 may be heated.
